Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Health Promotion App ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information. By creating an account and using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
The App is provided by Encyte Pvt Ltd, 181 - 1/3 Canal Ln, Colombo 10350, Sri Lanka. For any privacy question you can contact us at info@encyteus.com.
2. Information we collect

We do not collect your contacts, SMS messages, call logs, or any advertising identifier, and we do not use your data for advertising.
3. Device permissions
- Camera – to take a profile photo or a photo for a record. Used only when you open the camera.
- Photos / media – to let you pick an existing image to upload.
- Location – to show and record locations on the map. You can decline, and the rest of the App will still work.
- Biometrics (fingerprint / face) – optional, to unlock the App. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never sent to us; the device only tells the App whether the check succeeded.
- Notifications – to send you reminders and announcements related to your work in the App.
You can change or withdraw any of these permissions at any time in your device settings.
4. How your information is stored
Data you submit is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on our servers. Your login session and preferences are stored locally on your device, and login credentials are kept in the secure storage provided by the operating system (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Passwords are stored in protected form and are never shared with third parties.
5. How we use and share information
We use your information only to operate the App, authenticate you, deliver the features you request, provide support and improve reliability. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may share information only:
- with the health authority or programme that authorises your account, for the purposes described above;
- with service providers who host or maintain the App on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations;
- where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Map features are provided using Google Maps, which is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account is active or as long as needed for the health programme's record-keeping requirements. If your account is deleted, we remove or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to retain it by law.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account. Send your request to info@encyteus.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also delete the App from your device at any time, which removes the data stored locally on it.
8. Children
The App is intended for authorised adult health workers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and secure device storage to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you if a breach affects you.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
